Ananth Raghunathan is a Research Scientist working on Privacy Infrastructure at Facebook. His interests lie broadly in cryptography, and privacy, and like most people these days, he tries his very best to dabble in machine learning as well. Before Facebook, he spent nearly six years at Google working on differential privacy for Chrome, Ads, Analytics, and ML, and designing crypto protocols for protecting passwords and providing post-quantum readiness.
In addition to a PhD in cryptography guided by Professor Dan Boneh,
Ananth acquired a love for long drives through the twisty roads of
California's rolling hills
(a passion he promises to indulge in sparingly and safely, to his wife)
during his time at Stanford and also enjoys a little self-taught piano
from time to time.
